Anti-social Behaviour (ASB) Awareness Week runs from Monday 30 June to Sunday 6 July 2025.
What is Anti-social Behaviour?
ASB is defined as ‘behaviour by a person which causes, or is likely to cause, harassment, alarm or distress to persons not of the same household as the person’ (Anti-social Behaviour Act 2003 and Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011).

Reporting ASB
Anti-social behaviour can make an area frightening and unpleasant to live, work and relax in. This is not acceptable, which is why the police use their powers to get to the root of the problem and take action to stop it.
If it is a police matter, there are a number of ways you can report ASB to us:
- For non-urgent issues and to pass on information, call West Yorkshire Police on 101 or use our Live Chat facility
- In an emergency (if a crime is in progress, there is a threat to life, or if you think the offenders are nearby), call 999
- You can submit an Anti-Social Behaviour reporting form
- Or complete a Nuisance bikes / quads / off roaders reporting form
- To give information anonymously, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111
