Calderdale Adult Education have a new course available in Todmorden and Halifax for Adults with Learning Disabilities or those working at pre-entry or entry level 1.
Arty Numbers is a free, 12-week course to improve maths skills and number confidence through getting creative. It offers a relaxed and supportive environment where you can explore maths through practical, hands-on art activities such as drawing, painting, collage and design.
Throughout the course learners will develop key maths skills, including:
- reading, writing and using numbers up to 20
- counting, ordering, adding and subtracting
- understanding money and time in everyday situations
- exploring shape, size and space through creative work
- using simple charts, lists and sorting methods
The courses are starting w/c 13th April and run for 12 weeks, 2 hours per week.
Todmorden College – Mondays 1pm-3pm
Heath Campus, Halifax – Wednesdays 10am-12pm
