Calderdale Council launches “Vision 34”

Calderdale Council have launched Vision 34 their vision of what they call a “collective direction for making Calderdale an even better place to live, work, play, learn, visit and invest.” Here’s what they are saying about Vision 34, with links to some key online content:

Rooted in the hopes of over 1,000 people, this vision reflects our values, what makes Calderdale unique, and what we dream it can become, together. In 2034, Calderdale will be an enterprising place, full of opportunity, where we can all live a larger life.

We will always be kind and welcoming. Everyone will have reason to be full of hope and this will enable us to thrive and get us through testing times.

We will be celebrated for our distinctive heritage, nature and creativity that everyone can enjoy.

You can help raise awareness and embed Vision 34 amongst your organisation and with the people who use your services by promoting Vision 34 through your organisation’s channels.

What’s your Calderdale story?

Stories are at the heart of the 10-year ambition for Calderdale, Vision 34, with the central concept of ‘My Calderdale Story – building a sense of belonging through story’.

Stories have the power to move, inspire, be remembered and shape our perspective. Take a look at some of the powerful stories we’ve already captured on the My Calderdale Story media wall.

Everyone has a story to tell, and it’s these stories that will bring the Vision to life. Shared values and stories will build a sense of belonging, a place where people will want to be and thrive.

Use your own / your organisation’s social media channels to share stories and support and encourage your networks to do the same. Use the hashtag #MyCalderdaleStory on your favourite social media platform or post stories directly to www.MyCalderdaleStory.com.
