Get Yourself Active’s Social Care Activity Pack

Five years after it was first launched in 2021, Get Yourself Active has re-launched a refreshed version of their Social Care Activity Pack.

It was created to help people working in social care support more Disabled people to be active. It is designed primarily for carers, support workers and personal assistants, but can also be useful for family members and others supporting Disabled people and people with long-term health conditions.

Being active does not have to mean going to the gym or taking part in organised sport. It can include everyday movement such as walking or wheeling into town, gardening, bowling or dancing at home. What matters most is finding ways to move that are enjoyable, work for the individual and can fit into everyday life.

For the 2026 re-launch, they have refreshed key information and statistics throughout the pack to make sure the resource remains current, while retaining the practical advice, activities and tools that made the original pack useful.
