Contact’s campaign to stop welfare cuts

The children’s disability organisation, Contact, is running a campaign to stop welfare cuts. Here’s what they say about with with links to how to get involved:

Over 100 MPs have now signed a cross-party amendment calling for a pause on the government’s proposed welfare cuts.

This includes devastating changes to Universal Credit that would strip nearly £100 per week from 110,000 disabled young people aged 16–21.

Tell your MP why the government must rethink its plans.

Disability Rights UK is also campaigning against the cuts – you can find out more here
