Contact West Yorkshire Buses (Metro) us using British Sign Language (BSL)

West Yorkshire Combined Authority have partnered with Online BSL Interpreting Service, Convo.

Convo is a free service that will connect you to a qualified online BSL interpreter. The interpreter will relay the conversation between you and a member of staff. It can also be used for face-to-face conversations when travelling through one of the bus stations in West Yorkshire. Please ask a Metro employee if you’d like to use Convo, or scan a QR code on one of the Convo posters at the bus station.

If you are a BSL user, you can use Convo to connect through an Interpreter – this is how it works:

  • Simply log in to the Convo app on iOS, Android, or a web browser
  • Look for the West Yorkshire Combined Authority logo in the Community Directory. Through Convo you can choose to contact one of our MetroLine services:
    • MetroLine for bus and train information. Phone Lines are open 7am to 8pm Monday to Saturday or 8am to 8pm on Sundays and Bank Holidays
    • Our Inclusive Travel Team for queries about the disabled person’s travel pass. Phone lines are open 9am to 12pm Monday to Friday.
    • AccessBus for queries about AccessBus, or to book your journey. Phone lines are open 8:30am to 4pm Monday to Friday
    • Or if you have questions about school bus services, school bus passes or free school travel, you can contact the Education Transport Team. Phone lines are open 7.45am to 10am and 2pm to
4.30pm on school days and from 10am to 2pm during school holidays.

When you call, the interpreter may confirm who you want to get in touch with.
