Activity Alliance launches manifesto for next government

In April, we released our manifesto for change – Fight for fairness: Disabled people’s right to sport and physical activity. It’s developed with contributions and insight from disabled people, advocates and organisations in the sport, physical activity, and voluntary sector. This includes consultation with the National Disability Sports Organisations and other disability partners.

On 19 April, the Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announced a consultation on reforming the welfare system.

Fundraisers raise money for Activity Alliance in the London Marathon

On Sunday 21 April a team of fundraisers took part in the TCS London Marathon for Activity Alliance. Running alongside more than 40,000 people each proudly wore our organisation’s colours. Every year Activity Alliance offers places for those that would like to take part in the one of the biggest races in the world. We caught up with Joanne ahead of the marathon to see how training has been.

Our response to Sport England’s Active Lives 2022/23 report

Sport England released the latest data from the Active Lives Adult Survey with over 170,000 people taking part. Activity Alliance’s research team delved into the data, focusing on disabled people.
