RNIB Offer Support With Disability Benefits for Blind & Partially Sighted People

New research, highlighted by the RNIB, shows that more than one in four blind and partially sighted people miss out on the disability benefits they’re entitled to.
The barriers include:
* Applications being refused and issues with submitting applications
* Poor communication from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP)
* The challenge of getting to face-to-face appointments
* Welfare stigma and internalised guilt around claiming benefits while in work.
If you think you, a relative or friend with sight loss could be missing out, or if your application has been refused, the RNIB can support you. Their benefits calculator and factsheets can help you work out what benefits you’re entitled to: https://rnib.in/DisabilityBenefits.

And if you contact their Helpline on 0303 123 9999 or at helpline@rnib.org.uk, one of their advisors can carry out a full benefit check with you.
