The government has confirmed that PIP, DLA and AA will rise by 3.5% for 2027-28, with most benefit increases taking effect from 12 April 2027. Benefits and Work, the online disability benefits news service has published a table setting out what the increase will mean for the main disability benefit rates. If you receive the enhanced rate of both PIP components, for example, we estimate you’ll get an extra £6.80 a week.
Different rules apply to UC and the equivalent ESA amounts. The government statement also confirms that Local Housing Allowance rates and the benefit cap will remain frozen.
