What is Yorkshire Water’s Priority Services Register?
Yorkshire Water’s Priority Services Register is designed to support customers who may be in ‘vulnerable’ circumstances, whether these circumstances are temporary or permanent.
During emergency incidents, Yorkshire Water prioritise contact for Priority Services Register customers who may be more severely impacted by a loss of water supply or other incident.
Yorkshire Water’s Priority Services Register is free to sign-up to and Yorkshire Water don’t require any evidence or proof when you sign up to their register, so it’s very simple, quick and easy to do!
Who can benefit from Priority Services?
The Yorkshire Water Priority Services Register is available to everyone but may be of most use if the following apply to you:
hearing or sight impaired, speech impediment, etc.
wheelchair user, arthritis, missing limbs, etc.
- Mental health
bi-polar, depression, psychosis, OCD.
dementia, autism, learning disability.
- Serious/chronic illness
cancer, lung disease, post-hospital recovery, incontinence, etc.
people with children under five or people over 65
What Help Will Priority Services Provide?
Communications: Large Print or Braille documents, Audio bills, 24-hour notification by posted card for planned works, BSL translations, language translation for phone calls.
Supply Needs: Bottled water supplied for customers on dialysis (or other medical need for water) and for customers with limited mobility.
Welfare: A Yorkshire Water password for use by staff on any visit to your home, meter reading, and visits to customers in some cases.

- Set up a free security password so you can confirm it’s a real Yorkshire Water employee or partner
- Always ask for proof of identity (All Yorkshire Water colleagues and partners carry photo ID cards)
