Over the 2023 summer holidays Halifax Society For The Blind are planning to run two new groups:
1/ A family group for visually impaired children under the age of 11yrs and their parents/ grandparents or carers. At this group, children will have the opportunity to make new friends, play games and join in activities whilst parents can enjoy a drink and a chat.
Family Group Dates
o Tuesday 1st August 1.30pm to 3.30pm
o Tuesday 15th August 1.30pm to 3.30pm
o Tuesday 29th August 1.30pm to 3.30pm
2/ A youth group, for young people with sight loss aged between 11 and 19. This group will have a slightly different format with organised activities.
Youth Group Dates
o Tuesday 25th July 1.30pm to 3.30pm – Games and Activities. Come along, have a go at Giant Connect 4, Indoor Bowls and a variety of large print board games.
o Tuesday 8th August 1.30pm to 3.30pm – Relaxation Session. A relaxation specialist will discuss stress, the importance of relaxation and demonstrate some relaxation techniques.
o Tuesday 22nd August 1.30pm to 3.30pm – 10pin Bowling. Taking place at Electric Bowl, Halifax, come along to enjoy a game and have some fun.
Both groups will take place at their Southgate premises, and refreshments will be provided. Places will be limited so please contact the office to book as soon as possible.
