Tune in to your sight and hearing this Deafblind Awareness Week
Deafblind Awareness Week is 26th June to 2nd July and DeafBlindUK are asking everyone to tune in to their sight and hearing! This means being aware of changes and looking out for signs of deterioration in yourself and others.
During the week, they’ll be sharing information about the early signs of sight and hearing loss and why it’s so important to seek support from day one.

What is deafblindness?
Deafblindness is a combined sight and hearing impairment. It doesn’t always mean no sight or hearing, although for some people this is the case. It affects around 400,000 people in the UK and it affects everyone differently, some people need to make small changes to the way they go about everyday life and some people will rely on others for communication and getting about.
