Ian Gledhill our local Electoral Outreach Officer will be attending the next Disability Partnership open meeting on Tuesday 25th October.
He will give information about the progress of the Annual Canvass of Electors for 2022, which will be almost done by the time the meeting comes around.
He also hopes to be able to give an update on changes which are coming in as a result of the passing of the Elections Act. This includes Voter I.D. and accessibility in polling stations.
Ian says: “Although there is still an awful lot of detail which needs to be published I believe we should be looking to work together to provide the best advice to service users, and training to election staff, that we can for elections in May 2023 and beyond.”
