As part of Volunteer Week 2022, Halifax Society For The Blind will be holding a Volunteering Open Day on Tuesday 7th June, between 10am and 2.30pm, at their new premises (7 Southgate, Halifax). This event is not just about their existing volunteering offer, which they’ll be showcasing on the day. It is also about the future of volunteering at the Charity, as they move to one of the best sites to work from.
They’ll be looking for input, and answering your questions, as the Charity shifts up a gear in its longstanding support for local people with sight loss. There’s no need to book ahead, but if you’ve any further questions, please call 01422 352383, or email volunteering@
As the building work concludes on their new building, they’ll next be launching sight loss awareness sessions for local professionals – whether involved wholly or occasionally with sight loss. You can keep abreast of their news by visiting their website at www.halifaxblindsociety.org.uk
Better still, as they are now a Charitable Incorporated Organisation, if you are not yet a member of their Charity, you can join them, and then you’ll be able to influence their work into the future.
