Halifax Bus Station is being redeveloped in order to provide improved facilities and higher levels of comfort. The latest temporary re-arrangement of services at the site of the bus station and in Halifax centre was in late February 2022.

Below is a guide to help you identify where your bus will depart of arrive during the third phase of the building work, from 27 February 2022. First there is a guide to bus services based on the town centre and below that is a guide to the bus services still using the bus station.

Phase 3 will commence on Sunday 27 February, some buses will run from bus stops within Halifax town centre, as shown below. Please put your arm out to hail the bus.

From Sunday 27 February, bus services 586 and 587 will depart from Waterhouse Street. Bus services 226, 348 and 349 will depart from Market Street. Public toilets are available at Albion Street near the Borough Market.
