The Government’s Disability and Access Ambassadors

This is the latest information about the government’s Disability and Access Ambassadors programme, managed by the Disability Unit.

Disability and Access Ambassadors are senior business leaders. They encourage improvements in the accessibility and quality of services and facilities in their sector for disabled people.

The Disability and Access Ambassador scheme was expanded as part of the National Disability Strategy. From January 2022, there will be Ambassadors in 19 different sectors, from advertising to universities.
