Bulletin Deadline
From now on all bulletin submissions will need to be made to our new email address thebulletin@britishpolio.org.uk and we have made no changes to our editorial policy which can be found on page 3 in any copy of the bulletin. Please be aware if you do not submit content to our new email address, we may not receive it and it may not be published. As this is a big transitional period for us, we politely request that any content for our New Year 2022 edition be submitted where possible for the 20th December 2021 to allow for any transitional issues that may occur. Where this is not possible, we request you submit content for our final deadline on 4th January 2022.

My Way
We are on the lookout for submissions for our ‘My Way’ featured on the back page of the bulletin. At the core of the Fellowship is our members and it is here we want to champion your extraordinary stories about your life with polio. Please submit your stories to thebulletin@britishpolio.org.uk just make sure to keep it within 600 words and include one or two pictures of yourself!

Purple 4 Polio
To mark World Polio Day, Rotary clubs across the UK get involved in Purple 4 Polio celebrations. We love receiving pictures and news articles of your local experiences and would like to feature these in the up coming issue of the bulletin. Please send any pictures, articles or stories to thebulletin@britishpolio.org.uk

Christmas Office Closure
Please be aware that Central Office will be closing for the Christmas holidays on 24th December 2021 and will re-open on 4th January 2022.

Zoom Café
Thsis Novembers Zoom Cafe we are very lucky to be joined by Arun Patel of Polio Children who will be talking about their work supporting the Polio community. You can also read a short excerpt from his new book ”Out of My Way, Polio!” on our blog at https://www.britishpolio.org.uk/post/a-bombshell-i-am-diagnosed-with-polio. Please note if you have already registered for the event, you do not have to again.

Christmas Cards
We our still selling our charity Christmas cards for 2021. We are also selling packs of gift wrap and organic reindeer food to help power Santa’s sleigh! You can find a copy of the order form in the bulletin or for the first time, this year you will be able to purchase items through our website at https://www.britishpolio.org.uk/christmas-cards.

Raffle
Our virtual raffle tickets are available to purchase on our website or via phone on 01923889501. We will also be releasing raffle ticket booklets in our Autumn issue of the bulletin. This year we have multiple cash prizes starting at £1,000 along with a wealth of other great prizes donated by our supporters. Virtual and physical tickets will be entered into the exact same final ticket draw and will have completely equal odds. If you haven’t yet opted in for virtual raffle tickets please do by contacting matthew@britishpolio.org.uk as this will help reduce not just our costs but our environmental impact.
