Introducing Streetsafe – Tell The Police About Places Where You Feel Unsafe

The Home Office has launched StreetSafe, an online tool on police.uk that enables people to anonymously tell the police about public places where you have felt or feel unsafe, because of environmental issues, eg street lighting, abandoned buildings or vandalism and/or because of some behaviours, eg being followed or verbally abused.

When using the tool, you will be asked:
•    where it happened
•    why you felt unsafe, eg because you were followed or there was poor lighting
•    why you haven’t reported what happened to the police
•    your age, gender, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, if you have any illnesses or disabilities

These questions are optional, you don’t have to give us this information, but if you do it will help us to understand your experience.
