Below is a link to download Halifax Society For the Blind’s latest edition of their newsletter, Look Out!
In this edition, they share plans for resuming face to face services when the general easing of Covid19 restrictions occurs. They had a marvellous Volunteer Week piece, with feedback about the fantastic work of those who give their time for free to HSB. They say goodbye to Peter Melling, longstanding trustee, and introduce you to their newest Trustee, Sidra Kauser.
With information about getting about safely, navigating in bright light, and a big article about how their AVIATORS mobile devices scheme works, there’s plenty to tuck into.
This edition is also produced as a text file for those using screen-reader software, and can be translated into braille or audio on request. Speaking of audio, there’s also details about a new audio magazine they are developing with community members who have sight loss (Calderdale Eye), which they are planning to roll out in the coming months.
For more information, you can also visit their website (www.halifaxblindsociety.org.uk ), or find and follow them on Facebook. You can even phone them during the week between 9.30am and 4pm on 01422 352383!
