Stroke Support – Online Activities

Since April Different Strokes, the charity that supports younger stroke survivors, has focused on developing new online resources.  While local groups have not been able to meet, they have continued to offer support in many other different ways, with our online support group and telephone support service taking on increased importance.

They have also introduced new online activities, such as daily online exercise classes which go out at 11.00 on Mondays-Fridays, and are all at an appropriate level for stroke survivors.  More details can be seen about this on their website, while the sessions themselves can be accessed on our Facebook page and our YouTube channel.   Other initiatives which have been developed include weekly online taichi, weekly ‘stroke survivor in lockdown’ videos and a series of online talks from guest speakers.
