The Community Foundation for Calderdale believes that local charities, community groups and volunteers are local heroes, and this year more than ever, people have stepped up and been there for the people in our community. Here’s what they say about the awards:
Our Community Spirit Awards celebrate the often unsung heroes who work in our community, often in extremely challenging situations normally, and that was before the floods and Covid19.
From charities to individuals who give of their time and energy the awards highlight the people at the centre of the brilliant work being done here in Calderdale.
This year, we might not be able to plan a big awards evening, but we are planning five events that will be help online from September. Each event will showcase the finalists for two categories and the winners will be announced live. This will enable us to give the due time and respect to understand why the judges have chosen the finalists and the brilliant work they do.
This is your chance to nominate your own charitable organisation or nominate a charitable organisation that has supported you.
Voting closes 21st September 2020.
The awards ceremonies will take place online and you will be able to register your place on Eventbrite.
