Scope – Starting Line Support Programme – Calderdale

Scope’s Starting Line support program is run to support Calderdale residents. Scope are a Disability Pioneering Organisation which supports anyone with a disability or a health condition to improve their self – confidence and employability skills. The disability or health condition could be physical or mental such as dyslexia, anxiety, stress etc which the individual may regard as a barrier preventing them from engaging in the labour market or making it very difficult for them to improve their chances to do so. They run a voluntary support program called Starting Line, which is aimed specifically at supporting anyone of working age and who has a disability or health condition.

Normally, they deliver the program from the Piece Mill on Horton Street in Halifax, in Becket University Business Hub. However, due to the current Covid – 19 curfew they have started delivering their support to all customers remotely via the telephone and online.
