Community Transport Calderdale has set up a shopping service for people on lockdown, particularly those from more vulnerable groups. Due to the fantastic response they have had for volunteers they now have spare capacity and can take on more clients. They are also able to take over the phone payments which can be a help for people struggling to access cash.
They also are transporting patients to GP Hubs for appointments. This is a free service as it is funded. People travel on the mini buses so social distancing is being observed.
They also transport people from one medical care facility to another.
