Aldi have started selling grocery parcels online from 17th April. They are for delivery to households who are struggling to get to the shops.
The German-owned discount supermarket will be selling the hampers, which contain essentials like soup, rolls, UHT milk and toilet rolls (see full list below), for £24.99.
Purchases will be limited to one per customer and are being aimed at people ‘extremely vulnerable’ to Covid-19 who are unable to shop in person.
There will be 22 items stocked in Aldi’s grocery parcels, including, among others, an assortment of biscuits, salted peanuts, rice pudding, tea and instant coffee.
The parcels will only be available for shoppers online via this link from 17 April.
