The organisation, Guide Dogs, is inviting children with a vision impairment and their families for a family fun day at Eureka, The National Children’s Museum on Saturday 13 June 2020.
There are lots of exciting hands-on activities on offer. The day will start at 10am until 3.30pm but families can stay on until the museum closes at 5pm. They will be welcomed with refreshments in the 1855 Conservatory, their base for the day, before having a family visit to the museum. During the tour families are also invited to visit the Imagination Space which will be exclusively for their use during the day and they will be running a clay modeling workshop experience and also have a display and advice available from our Access Technology Team.
At lunchtime they will provide a lunch sandwich box for all the family in the Conservatory which will also be a lovely opportunity to meet other
children and families together with Eureka’s children and young people’s services team who will be available to provide further information about
the services they can provide to support you and your family.
Children with a vision impairment plus one parent/guardian are free and immediate family members are £5.00 each. Children up to the age of 2
free. Booking is essential, please contact Sally or Cat on 0118 983 8318 or email familyevents@guidedogs.org.uk for a booking form.
