The Staying Well Awards

For 5 years, Staying Well has been supporting adults to improve their health and wellbeing and reduce isolation and loneliness.  The Staying Well Awards are about celebrating the fantastic volunteers and groups in Calderdale that make this possible…

So chase away winter blues with thoughts of people who make the good things happen in your community and tell those stories of kindness, inspiration and dedication that you want recognised.

Some groups are big, some are small but ALL are making a difference to people’s lives by providing vital places and spaces for people to meet, socialise and get involved in their community.

This year, Staying Well want to roll out the red carpet and say a big thank you at a special celebration evening in spring 2020.

Nominations can be made for any individual, group or organisations in Calderdale working in a voluntary capacity to reduce isolation and loneliness and keep people healthier, happier and staying well.

They are especially looking for nominations that demonstrate:

  • Acts of kindness or caring communities.
  • Outstanding service or going the extra mile
  • Strengthened links between communities
  • Using physical activity to improve wellbeing
  • Contribution to Dementia Friendly communities

Nominations close Sunday 1st March 2020
