Declare your care
As part of its #DeclareYourCare campaign, the Care Quality Commission is encouraging people with a learning disability or autism, their family, carers and advocates to feedback on care. Its research reveals that people with a learning disability are more likely to regret not complaining about poor care than those without. The lack of information, about a health condition or treatment options not being well explained, are the main reasons for people with a learning disability or their carer to want to raise a concern. People with learning disabilities are also twice as likely to have concerns about maternity services and mental health services than people without a learning disability.
