Monday Afternoon Social Events

Every Monday afternoon the Arch-Way Project is running a social event called Past Times aimed at the elderly at risk from or living with dementia and those who are isolated and/or lonely.  The venue is the Arden Road Social Club, Halifax, HX1 3AG.

Ebonnie Greene the Operations Manager for the Arch-Way Project said “Our ‘night out on a Monday afternoon’ provides the opportunity for people to have a great time every week.  We recreate a 1950’s night club, play bingo and hold a quiz. Free tea and coffee will be brought to your table along with a biscuit but if you want something a little stronger our bar is open. We have different singers and musicians performing live music from the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s and 80’s, singing all of your favourites and you can dance, sing along and clap to the beat.

The doors are open from 1:30pm until 3:30pm, our visitors start to arrive at 1:30pm, have a brew, chat and relax. A member of our staff will greet you at the door and we will sit you down with a brew.

The quiz starts at 2pm, we have live music following the quiz, a couple of games of bingo and then finish the afternoon with more music!”
