A weekly cycling session close to Halifax is opening up cycling opportunities for cyclists of all abilities.
Brooksbank School’s sports facilities include a 750 metre tarmac cycling circuit, which is located adjacent to Elland Golf club on Hammerstone Leach Lane, Elland HX5 0TA. The circuit is surrounded by playing fields and grass bankings and is in a fully fenced and traffic-free area, making it quiet, safe and peaceful. The facilities include a free car park and a club-house with accessible toilets and changing rooms.
At the sessions, cycling coaches look after cyclists of all abilities. Families are particularly welcome and adults and children with a variety of disabilities regularly attend. Some bring specially adapted cycles. At the circuit there is a bike library, from which you can borrow a bike for the evening. The sessions cost just £2.50 and there is no need to pre-book. Simply turn up and enjoy the session.
