We recently came across this interesting Canadian website, which is dedicated to wheelchair skills, usage and user training.

The website deals with the Wheelchair Skills Program (WSP). The WSP includes the Wheelchair Skills Test (WST), the questionnaire version of the WST (WST-Q) and the Wheelchair Skills Training Program (WSTP). It is used to assess and train wheelchair users and/or their caregivers and clinicians.
It even includes a section on wheelchair games: a sample video of one is below
Obviously, these programmes and qualifications are Canadian and have no standing in the UK. However, the website does contain a lot of really useful and interesting information, including lots of videos. The website itself includes the following warning, which we’d also recommend you take note of: “The wheelchair skills described and illustrated on this website can be dangerous and result in severe injury if attempted without the assistance of trained personnel.”
